The north coast University town of Coleraine, located beside the River Bann, is the largest and busiest town on the Causeway Coast in Northern Ireland. The town forms part of the area known as the “Triangle” linking the nearby coastal resorts of Portrush and Portstewart. Both are popular residential locations for students and staff. For those with an interest in outdoor activities the Causeway Coast is perfect. Water sports including surfing, sailing, rowing and angling are popular. For walking enthusiasts dedicated routes within the “Triangle” take in long sandy beaches and dunes, follow dramatic cliff lines and meander inland into sheltered woodlands.
