Washington Altini is an Italian with a passion for Northern Ireland’s mini World Cup!
The soccer faacilitator is highly regarded across Europe as one of the leading agents for teams at youth level.
He has been part of the Milk Cup set up for many years and rates it the best in Europe.
He enjoys his visits here and games of golf on the beautiful North Coast links. He was a regular player with founding committee member Bertie Peacock, savouring the wonderful delights of Royal Portrush, Portstewart, Castlerock and other fabulous courses in the area which is home to the Milk Cup. "It is so professionally run and nothing is a trouble for the organising committee and their great team of volunteers." The genial Washington has thrilled his Ulster audiences with the occasional burst of song, not least when he was coaxed into singing some opera at Finals Night by local MC Ivor "Plug" Torrens. His heartfelt rendition of "O Solo Meo" was truly memorable!
Washington says: "This is a marvellous competition and the people who run it are so very friendly and welcoming. I have found the Milk Cup a home from home.
