Former County Londonderry Milk Cup player Aaron Canning is making his mark at Coleraine.
Canning made his debut in the Irish Carling Premiership for Coleraine at Institute on Saturday, 21 November, 2009.
Canning, who represented County Londonderry at Milk Cup for four
years, made his Coleraine senior debut at the Riverside Stadium at Institute when he came on as a
second half substitute.
Aaron, who signed for David Platt's Coleraine from Limavady United in the summer of 2009,
captained the County Premier Squad to Slemish Cup Final glory
the same summer when they beat Co Antrim and finished 9th overall.
The 17 year old
defended solidly and didn't look out of place in the 2-2 draw and with
his abililty will be a great asset to Coleraine in the years to come.
Aaron has already played in the Co-operative Insurance Cup and North West Cup.
Plat says: "He is a gifted young player who has done everything we have asked of him. He is intelligent and has a good football brain. His tackling and distribution are excellent. We have high hopes for him because his development in such a short time has been imporessive."
